The FBI is treating the incident in Boulder as a terrorist attack<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man was detained in Boulder, Colorado on Sunday after throwing Molotov cocktails at attendees of a demonstration in support of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Videos from the scene show a shirtless man carrying what appear to be bottles of flammable liquid while shouting pro-Palestinian slogans. He is later seen lying on the ground as police move in to detain him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado. Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available,\u201d<\/em> FBI Director Kash Patel said on X.<\/p>\n

Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said officers responded to a report of a suspect \u201csetting people on fire.\u201d<\/em> He confirmed that several people had been hospitalized, with injuries ranging \u201cfrom very serious to more minor.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

FBI Special Agent Mark Michalek later confirmed that the man yelling \u201cFree Palestine\u201d<\/em> injured six people. He identified the suspect as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman. \u201cSadly, attacks like this are becoming too common across the country,\u201d<\/em> Michalek said.<\/p>\n
